Educational Group Tours for School Groups, Pre-K-12th Grade
The museum education programs are free with a reservation. Students and anyone employed by the school is admitted free. Parent chaperones are free with a 1:10 ratio of adults to students. We require at least one adult for every 10 students.
Our tour has been specifically designed to complement the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), and for this reason, tour content and themes vary by grade level. For example, 4th-grade tours will include a discussion of George Bush’s career as an oilman, while 11th-grade tours will include an in-depth discussion of the Berlin Wall.
All self-guided tours, interactive learning programs, and summer programs are available by reservation only. We book all of our tours and programs in advance. Therefore, we recommend you call for reservations at least two months prior to the desired date of your visit. Reservations can be made by phone, 979-691-4006, or by emailing bush.education@nara.gov.
Dates and times for programs vary depending on the availability of tour guides and current reservations. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Please keep in mind that Spring (March, April, May) is usually the busiest time of the year for student field trips. For this reason, we suggest that groups wishing to come in the spring make their reservations by January.
