Since the tragic death of their 3-year-old daughter, Robin, from cancer, President and Mrs. Bush have been inspired and motivated to fight this terrible disease. Robin's passing stirred their lifetime commitment to do whatever they could to bring an end to cancer.
In 1998, President and Mrs. Bush helped create C-Change, then known as the National Dialogue on Cancer. For well over a decade they co-chaired this unique nonprofit organization, dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major public health burden at the earliest possible time. The "Conquering Cancer: A Commitment For the Ones We Love,” was a six-panel exhibit that highlighted the lifelong commitment of President and Mrs. Bush and the collaborative strength of the many cancer organizations that make up C-Change.
