Lauren Sproull

Chief Communications Officer

Lauren Sproull serves as the Chief Communications Officer of the George & Barbara Bush Foundation, where she leads enterprise communications strategy and oversees efforts to advance the Foundation's mission, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and promote the enduring values championed by President George H.W. Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush. In this role, she provides strategic leadership for brand stewardship, media relations, executive communications, thought leadership, fundraising communications, and storytelling across the Foundation’s initiatives.

Prior to joining the George & Barbara Bush Foundation, Lauren spent more than a decade with the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, most recently serving as Vice President of Marketing and Communications. There, she led national communications and brand strategy efforts that elevated the national conversation around family literacy, strengthened philanthropic engagement, and advanced Mrs. Bush’s vision of a more literate America. Her work included media relations, strategic partnerships, executive communications, fundraising campaigns, and high-profile events designed to expand educational opportunity and inspire greater investment in literacy initiatives.

Earlier in her career, Lauren held communications and public engagement roles supporting educational and cultural institutions in Florida, including the Florida Virtual Campus and the State Library and Archives of Florida. Throughout her career, she has focused on helping mission-driven organizations connect with key audiences, communicate complex ideas with clarity, and advance meaningful public impact.

Lauren is honored to help carry forward the legacy of President and Mrs. Bush through work that expands educational opportunity, promotes civic engagement and public service, and inspires future generations to lead lives of purpose and impact.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Graduate Certificate in Publishing and Editing from Florida State University.
