George H.W. Bush High School Public Service Scholarship Luncheon

The George & Barbara Bush Foundation and Bryan Texas Utilities proudly celebrated the 2026 George H.W. Bush High School Public Service Scholarship recipients during a luncheon honoring their academic achievement, leadership and commitment to serving others.

The program included welcome remarks from Alice Gonzalez Yates, president and CEO of the George & Barbara Bush Foundation, as well as remarks from Bryan Texas Utilities General Manager Gary Miller and Bryan City Manager Andrew Nelson. Scholarship recipient Tatum Bennett offered the invocation, and Yates delivered the keynote address before presenting each student with a special gift.

Established to recognize graduating seniors throughout the Brazos Valley, the scholarship reflects the values championed by President and Mrs. Bush, including service, integrity, compassion and a dedication to strengthening their communities. Each of this year’s recipients demonstrated not only academic excellence, but also a sincere commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.

The Foundation is grateful to Bryan Texas Utilities for its continued partnership in supporting the next generation of civic-minded leaders and celebrating students who embody the spirit of public service.
